Adult Orchestral Strings
The Community String Project offers lessons for high school students and adults on the violin, viola, cello and bass bass in 15-week sessions. Aspiring musicians start in the Beginning Adult Ensemble. Experienced musicians will be guided to the appropriate intermediate or advanced ensemble. Registration for Beginning Adult Ensemble occurs every fall. Experienced musicians can join in the fall, spring or the eight-week summer session.
Registration Fee is $250 for a 15-week session
All Classes take place at the Bristol Statehouse

Adult Guitar Ensembles
Beginners may start in the Fall, no experience necessary!
The Community String Project is now registering adults for beginning and intermediate classical guitar. This session will run for 15-weeks beginning first week of October and running through mid January.
All rehearsals take place at Mt. Hope High School. Students must provide their own classical guitar, foot stool and method book.
Registration Fee is $250 for a 15 week session.
Beginning Classical Guitar Ensemble - Adult students learn classical guitar in a group setting. No previous musical knowledge is needed; ability to read music is helpful but not necessary. Students will learn first position notation, classical guitar technique, right hand PIMA finger style technique, chords, and beginning solo and ensemble classical guitar literature.
Classes are held Tuesdays at Mt. Hope High School in Bristol, RI.

Intermediate/Advanced Classical Guitar Ensemble - Experienced musicians will be guided to intermediate or advanced levels to further developing ensemble skills. Prerequisites include the ability to read music in first position, play chords, knowledge of right hand PIMA rest stroke and free stroke. Students will focus on further developing their skills in right hand fingerstyle technique, position studies, and intermediate and advanced solo and ensemble literature.
Students must provide their own classical guitar and guitar footstool. (Electric or Acoustic, steel-string guitars are not acceptable.)
